Global Resilience Federation Appoints Mark Orsi as President
Reston, VA, USA – August 5, 2019 – Global Resilience Federation (GRF) announced today that Mark Orsi has joined the organization as president. Mr. Orsi, with Chairman and CEO Bill Nelson, will guide GRF in its mission to develop and support intelligence sharing communities and cross-sector collaboration initiatives.
“Global Resilience Federation has an extensive pedigree and strong institutional history in defense, collaboration, and risk mitigation,” said Orsi. “I’m thrilled to work with Bill to lead GRF into the future as we kick off ProSIX, a new community for professional services firms. Threat actors target firms that handle sensitive client documents and ProSIX provides the platform to reduce risks for member firms, their clients, and related industries.”
Overseeing day-to-day operations, technology growth, and partnerships, Mr. Orsi will play a premier role in advancing GRF activities for its multi-industry member network spanning sectors like financial services, healthcare, retail, hospitality, oil and natural gas, electric utilities, legal services, and professional services.
“Mark has front-line operations experience against the most advanced threats and brings exceptional leadership experience to the GRF team,” said Bill Nelson. “We’re excited to have him join us to spearhead our growth around the world and aid us in optimizing our existing processes.”
Mr. Orsi led strategic efforts for several prominent Fortune 100 companies, working directly with CIOs and CISOs to develop, deploy, and improve security controls protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information. Mark joins the company from JPMorgan Chase where he served as executive director and product owner for cybersecurity and technology controls. Prior to JPMorgan, Mr. Orsi served KPMG as director of cybersecurity, and Goldman Sachs as vice president of technology risk. Mark holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MS in computer science from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland.
