GRF Physical Security & Geopolitical Analysts Cover Corporate Foreign Travel Practices in Latest Report

RESTON, VA – September 5, 2018 – Global Resilience Federation has released its most recent in-depth report in a series that covers trending threats in cyber and physical security.

The sixth report highlights best practices surrounding corporate foreign travel, including pretravel, mid-travel and post-travel security considerations based on the experience of GRF physical security and geopolitical analysts and several member organizations. This is the latest report from Global Resilience Federation, a provider of support to ISACs and ISAOs which work to protect organizations against cyber and physical risks.

Despite video conferencing, email and other advances, global travel continues to be a business necessity and employees face a variety of threats when they travel outside of familiar areas. Best practices that can be leveraged start long before a trip begins. Businesses should prepare staff and their accompanying technology for certain destinations and the unique threat landscapes each present, starting with basic security training and extending to device restrictions or even clothing and cultural guidance. Explaining the threat landscape to the traveler and resourcing them with the knowledge of the location, its laws and customs, as well as the technical tools to stay safe during travel are all important aspects of corporate security.

GRF affiliated communities receive detailed information and analysis on timely topics in the in-depth TLP Amber reports. When a report topic is selected, GRF staff investigate significant open source material, provide custom analysis, and compile detailed data and intelligence from member communities. The final product offers a unique set of industry perspectives on security issues.
