RESTON, VA, USA- December 4, 2018 - Global Resilience Federation (GRF) today announced that Bill Nelson will become its first chief executive officer. Nelson will continue to serve in his current role as president and CEO of the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) through the end of the year.

Nelson brings with him extensive executive experience and expertise in intelligence sharing. He began serving as FS-ISAC’s president and CEO over 12 years ago and led the organization through a period of rapid growth and expansion. Working closely with the FS-ISAC Board of Directors and FS-ISAC staff, Bill was a driving force behind many major milestones for the security of the financial services industry. In his 12 years, Nelson led FS-ISAC in its response to major cyber and physical threats and vulnerabilities that affected the financial services industry, including partnering with Microsoft to take down four major botnet infrastructures. He was also responsible for creating the Sector Services Division of FS-ISAC, which was established to assist other sectors and became the genesis for launching Global Resilience Federation.

Global Resilience Federation (GRF) is a non-profit hub for support, analysis, and multi-industry intelligence exchange between information sharing and analysis centers (ISACs) and organizations (ISAOs), which facilitate cyber and physical security intelligence sharing for specific sectors.
