Reston, VA - September 9, 2018 - Global Resilience Federation (GRF) is pleased to announce its participation in the upcoming Symantec Government Symposium. GRF's president, Cindy Donaldson, will participate in the “Ransomware: Prevent, Protect, and Prevail” session, which will take a deep-dive into the current threat landscape and state of ransomware, including strategies to help protect organizations from attacks, and recent tactics criminals have used to steal data.
Symantec’s fifteenth annual Symantec Government Symposium will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the Marriott Marquis in Washington D.C. The theme for this year’s event is: “Cyber Redefined: Automated, Innovative, Integrated.” More than 800 attendees will gather to tackle the toughest cyber security challenges in government, from security modernization and mandate compliance to cloud, IoT security, ransomware, workforce gaps, and more.
The one-day program will include two keynote sessions, the Cyber Awards ceremony and panel, and five-breakout tracks featuring some of the top speakers and experts from across government and industry.
With more than 20 years of cybersecurity experience in both the public and private sectors, Cindy brings a unique perspective to the ransomware challenge. In her role leading GRF, Cindy works closely with government, ISACs, ISAOs, CERTs and other communities to share threat intelligence for mutual defense. This collaboration is increasingly important as threat actors are becoming more sophisticated and persistent.
